Jesus commands, 'As my Father has sent me, so I send you'. John 20:21
We are “sent” to make Christ known in word and deed into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday lives to represent Him for the sake of the world. We encourage one another to reach out to others by investing in their lives and inviting them to Christ and his church.
Being servants is our calling as disciples who are obedient to Christ’s command, “So if I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their Master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them” (John 13:14-16).
We reach beyond the walls of the church, serving the needy and hurting in our immediate community as well as the world. This is faith active in love.
