Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47
Gathered by the Spirit
We are GATHERED by the Holy Spirit who calls us together at the foot of the cross. We do not go to church—we are the church. Like the first century church in the book of Acts (Acts 2:42-47), we are gathered for worship and teaching; we are gathered for the breaking of bread, prayer, and fellowship; we are gathered with glad and sincere hearts, praising God. And the Lord adds to our number daily those who are being saved.
The heart of our life together is the person of Jesus, the Son of God—who he is and what he has done for us. We do not move up toward God. God comes down to us. God gathers us into his presence to give us his gracious gifts of forgiveness, life, salvation, and God's very self. God speaks to his people, and we, in turn, respond through prayer, praise, and service. Maricopa Lutheran Church (MLC) places a high priority on God’s Word, prayer, Biblical preaching, engaging worship and music, and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Come and see! |
